Telkom is adding yet another feather to their already impressive hat with the launch of My Telkom. However, they are the last to join the party as both Airtel Kenya and Safaricom already have their respective apps. With the My Telkom app, customers are able to access all the carrier-related services, all at the same place. These include;
Check balance for airtime, voice and internet bundles Top up airtime Transfer airtime Buy data bundles Redeem points from Telkom’s Ziada loyalty program Call customer care in the app. Telkom customers can front their queries via social media and text as well. Locate the nearest Telkom Retail Shop
At the moment the app is only available to prepay customers and only weighs 3MB. The app is also zero-rated so you don’t need to have any bundles or credit for it to work, although you still need to have your data on. This is version 1.0 and from our experience, it is surprisingly stable. We can’t wait to see the kind of features and functionality that will come in subsequent releases.
