Samsung Galaxy 8 and Galaxy 8+

With a 5.1in Full HD display for the P10 and a 5.5in QHD panel for the P10+, retaining the Leica camera tech from the previous model, with dual 12mp RGB and 20mp monochrome lenses that work together to offer better image quality and depth perception. It has dumped the metal chasis in favor of the ceramic and two models that come equipped with a Hyper Diamond technology which means it won’t pick up fingerprints or scratches. They are available in either blue or gold and the standard stainless steel versions of the phone in green, silver, gold or rose gold.

Apple’s IPhone 8

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Apple is set to unleash the IPhone 8 and if rumors are to be believed, it will be unleashed alongside IPhone 7S and IPhone 7S+ in September this year. The IPhone 8, also referred to as the IPhone “Edition” is set to be the most exiting with speculation pointing to an AMOLED display, all glass construction, built-in wireless charging support and retaining the regular headphone jack.  There is also talk that it will be the first to support wireless charging and a Touch ID sensor embedded in the display.

Nokia 9

It seems Nokia made the right move when it debuted its move to Android with the launch of the budget Nokia 3, 5 and at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which also saw the unveiling of the new Nokia 3310. We are yet to see the firm’s flagship smartphone Nokia 9 which is set to come this year. This phone is reportedly set to offer IP68 water and dust resistance, QHD 2560×1440 AMOLED display, Android 7.0 Nougat on board and will be available in two sizes, 5.2in and 5.5in. Apparently, it will also come with support for the Google Daydream VR platform.

Blackberry KeyOne

Blackberry has brought back the QWERTY keyboard with the launch of its Blackberry KeyOne, which doubles up as a makeshift trackpad mimicking the trackpad of the old Blackberry and all the 52 buttons can be programmed as customizable shortcuts. It sports a 4.5in 1620×1080 display that sits above the retro keys, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and a 3,505mAh battery under the hood and there is also a fingerprint scanner built into the spacebar, adding an extra layer of security to the device. The Blackberry KeyOne is the first device to feature the firm’s new “Boost” charging tech, which will get you to 50% charge in about 36minutes.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium

Thanks to some world-first features, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium follows on from the Xperia XZ but is better described as the successor to the Xperia Z5 Premium. It boasts the first ever HDR 4K screen to be seen in a smartphone which packs an eye-popping 800ppi pixel density. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip and a brand new 19mp camera sensor that’s capable of capturing 960fps slow motion videos. It will be available on market this may.

LG G6

LG G6 started the trend of the bazel-less design with its 5.7in 18:9 QHD+ Full Vision display and boasts of a 5.2in screened device and claims that unlike other devices, it fits comfortably in one hand. It packs a camera setup which consists of identical 13mp sensors as opposed to the 8mp/16mp found on the previous model an also has a 5mp camera on the front with a 100 degree wide angle lens.
